CONGRATULATIONS, JAMES BAKER, CG
Congratulations to James Baker on his recent certification by the Board for Certification of Genealogists. Jim is now entitled to place those important letters, "CG," after his name. He is one of only two certified genealogists in the Sacramento area. Jim serves as the Sacramento German Genealogical Society's representative to the Council.


IN MEMORIAM
The Council is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague Robert Noyes who passed away 27 August 2011. While serving as president of the Mission Oaks Genealogy Club, Bob attended Council meetings as the club's representative. He rarely missed a meeting. Bob was descended from the Noyes family who were early settlers of New England.

Rest in peace, dear friend. We will miss you.
